Reviewing before you save
After Catchall has read your photos, you see the records it made, one at a time. Nothing is saved yet. Swipe to review them, and fix anything before saving.
Correcting a value
Tap any value to change it. Corrections are saved with the record.
A few fields give you extra help:
- Read it off the photo. Beside a text field, the text viewfinder button opens the record's photo with every line of text boxed. Tap a line to use it, or drag across several to select them all, then tap Use Selection. Handy when a value is long, awkward to type, or in small print.
- Category fields suggest values you've used before as you type, so "Paperback" stays "Paperback" and doesn't drift into "paperback" and "Paper back".
- Looked-up links have a Safari button instead. If the link is empty, it searches for this record on the field's site; if it's there but wrong, it opens the page so you can find the right one and use that.
- Dates accept partial dates and ranges.
The record's photo
Each record keeps the part of the photo it came from. Tap the picture to Adjust the crop - drag the box to move it, or a corner to resize it. Pinch or drag with two fingers to zoom.
Saving
When you're happy, tap Save Collection - or, if you're adding to a collection, Add to and its name. A new collection asks for its name first.
To throw everything away instead, tap Discard. Catchall checks before discarding the photos and the records it found; Keep Editing takes you back.
Editing a record after it's saved
Open the record from its collection and tap Edit. Every field becomes editable again, and you can adjust the crop. Tap Done when you've finished.
To delete a record, use Delete Record while editing. The record and its cropped photo are deleted - the photograph it was read from is kept. This can't be undone, and it stands even if you then tap Cancel instead of Done.
